Yes, pretty much not the original recipe but seen worse ones here on youtube. Actually scary what people all over the world call “lasagne”.

i’m going to give this method a try.
intersting you cook the vegetable sauce seperate to the meat. i would saute the onion and garlic then add the meat then the other vegetables- your method allows the bacon to taste through the sauce?

and why don’t the real original italian commentors post the real lasagna recipe? it makes no sense to give a negative feedback if u don’t have a positive one. good job on that vid. I’ll try it out.

I agree. My Mother was from Naples and this recipe is nothing like a genuine lasagne. In a real lasagne, the layers are stuffed with something different. The lasange should be very solid and not an ‘icky gue’ as restaurant lasagnes are. The end product should be solid and clear, with the different layers evident. PUT SOMETHING UNIQUE in each layer!!!!

No, I am a video producer. We produced this video as an effort to engage customers of Woolworths Foods, a large and innovative South African Food group. If the use of pre-made ingredients offend some of our viewers, please note they are imported from Italy.

This recipe is not aimed at the connoisseur or gourmet chef. It is targeted at people who quickly want to put something together with some pre-made ingredients.

i object to the use of processed tomato paste. at least get a can of whole italian tomatoes and spend 5 minutes reducing them in a pan. it will be much better that the industrial concentrated paste where they use low grade tomatoes to produce a base product. tomato paste is the equivalent of using instant coffee.
